In 2011, Hartford, South Dakota, started a new holiday tradition with Hometown Christmas. The theme for 2025 is "Good Tidings of Joy".  This year’s event will feature a craft show, visits by Santa & Mrs. Claus, kids carnival & activities, gingerbread house contest, one of the biggest lighted parades in the region, and more!  Hometown Christmas has something for all ages.
